Made of soft merino wool, our drink coasters are gentle to your surfaces and provide a gentle landing spot for your glass or cup. Will not cause damage like marble or stone if accidentally dropped.
Merino wool felt is unique since it is composed of very fine and soft fibers that are tightly interlocked under intense heat and pressure. The resulting felt is thick, dense and will not dent, tear or break.
Woolen coaster pads are the NATURAL choice. They are renewable and biodegradable. Wool even has ANTI-BACTERIAL properties due to the natural presence of lanolin.
Fortunately wool is naturally resistant to dirt and stains. Like anything in your home though, it will need to be occasionally cleaned. A good first step would be to try cleaning with a damp cloth. They may also be handwashed in cool water using gentle detergent and then laid flat to dry. These are made from 100% merino wool so the process would be similar to caring for quality wool clothing.
Wool also uniquely wicks away condensation. Moisture is absorbed into the wool fibers of the coaster—leaving your furniture safe from harm (and your coaster not stuck to your glass).
